Overview
This stool was designed as a message of what DESIGNwith stands for democratization of knowledge; it should inherently reflect the integrity and the heart of the concept, having sustainability and accessibility in mind. The DW serves as a tool for curiosity, challenge new thinking, dismantle ideas, invite circular design, spread awareness of design for social innovation, act as a platform for discourse, be part of something much larger than ourselves, see possibilities beyond what we already know... and also let us simply sit and work; to be productive and to be together.
WHAT WE MEAN BY SUSTAINABLE:
• Use of renewable materials
• Mindful of material waste when manufacturing
• Multifunctional furniture
• Design for disassembly
• Design for remanufacturing
WHAT WE MEAN BY ACCESSIBLE:
• can be made with minimal skills and tools,
• inexpensive standard raw materials from local hardware stores,
• allow for co-use of furniture and space
